As an 8th grade parent and your PTA Treasurer, I've had a front-row seat to what makes this school special. Every day, our students arrive ready to explore, grow, and prepare for high school. Watching them thrive here has been one of the best parts of this school experience.
But here's something I didn't fully realize until I got more involved: the city's budget only covers teacher salaries and operations. Many of the extra things that make Morton even more special come from us.
Where your gift goes:
- 🎉 Student parties and community events
- 🔬 Science materials
- 🎭 Field trips and enrichment programs
- ✏️ Classroom supplies
- 🎨 Art, music, and gym equipment
- 🎁 Holiday and end of school staff and teacher gifts
None of this happens without families stepping up. Our goal this year is $50,000 — and it all comes from parents like us. There's no other funding source.
We're asking every family to consider giving $500 per child. But we also know that isn't doable for every family — and that's completely okay. What matters most is that every family gives something.
Every gift, no matter the size, moves us closer to $50,000.
With gratitude,
Scott Stokke
