SUBJECT: 75 Morton PTA Newsletter - 12/2/2022

Welcome back!

Happy December - it's finally starting to feel like winter is here and we've come back from Thanksgiving Break with a lot of energy!

As we are still a fairly new school we are still determining what events should be carried on and what new events are needed. Last month we've been speaking with our board and other families at our events about what they'd like to see to build community. One idea was the family potluck.

We thought this was a great idea especially as we think about our recent families that are far from home this holiday season. Families that don't have kitchens to cook the food that reminds them of home.

We hope you can join us for our "Taste of Home" holiday potluck and share a dish that represents your family. The PTA will sponsor South American food for our migrant families so they can feel a bit more home.

This event will take place in the cafeteria directly after another new event, the Winter Showcase, organized by the 75 Morton Arts Department.

With gratitude,

Rebecca Lupardo & Corinne Moreno-Geis

Your PTA Co-Presidents

Teacher Appreciation
Teacher Appreciation!

Deadline: December 16th

From Teachers to Counselors to Security Officers and beyond, it takes a community...

We value ALL of our 75Morton staff and want to celebrate them at the holidays; they contribute greatly to our community and do so much for our students throughout the year. And for that, we'd like to acknowledge their invaluable impact on our kids lives and contribute back.

Please consider participating in the Staff Holiday Collection by making a donation to a collective pool of funds to be distributed to our staff on behalf of all Morton families. All donations are voluntary and confidential (collected and maintained through our PTA Treasury and Family Giving team).  We will be closing the fund on December 16th, so kindly donate before then.

  • Family Giving: Our school needs you! Valerie's budget given by the DOE pays for her staff and basic school supplies. The PTA pays for the rest. All enrichment materials and programs for art, science and social studies, and STEAM are paid for by PTA  fundraisers. The biggest fundraiser we have is our Family Giving Drive. That is donations giving by families like you. A monetary donation is the easiest and most direct way to contribute to the school. Please click here and give as generously as you are able. Any amount you give will be gratefully received.
