Dear 75 Morton Families,

It was so nice to see such a great turn out for our "Fathers Bring Your Student to School Day" sponsored by Project Pivot last week. School Aide, Will Green, led the fathers and father figures in conversation about how they can support their kid in middle school and what they'd like to take part in our community. We look forward to more events like these in the school year.

We need to cut a check to 75 Morton for $10,000 for School Supplies to pay for the materials provided to our students. So far we have received less than $5000 and need much more. If you have not done so already, please contribute what you can.  ==> SCHOOL SUPPLIES

- Only $75 and all is provided for the year

Grade-wide Committees

New this year, we're organizing a committee for each grade (not in only 8th grade as in past years). This will allow families to build a community of volunteers, assist teachers with events and field trips, and to come up with additional fun activities for their child's year. Below are the current event(s) per grade. It's up to you to make these events happen and to add more to come!

6th Grade kicks the year off right away with a Halloween themed party called "Fright Night" in October. We need a decoration team, food team and overall organizers. Please email: pta@75morton.org to help!

7th Grade celebrates at the end of the year at an event called "Spring Fling" held in May. We'll need a decoration team, food team and overall organizers. Please email: pta@75morton.org to help!

8th Grade is an exciting year as students begin to think about moving up to high school. We rely on parent participation in order to produce the fun events we have planned to celebrate our graduates. These events include: Welcome Breakfast (Sept/Oct), Snow Ball (Feb), Class Trip (May/Jun), Graduation Party (Jun). Please email: pta@75morton.org to help!

School-wide Events

Can you help organize a Movie Night for kids & families? Last year we streamed The Goonies on our projector screen in our 6th floor gym. Please email: pta@75morton.org to help!

Disco ball

Our school Auction Party is not only a great fundraiser but a fun adult-only night for parents, guardians and faculty to celebrate our community. Included in the fun is a performance by our parent band. This takes a whole team of people. From party organizing, soliciting donations, data entry and performing. All needed to help! Please email: pta@75morton.org to help!

cupcake

Last year we organized a bake sale during Election Day. The kids really enjoyed helping with this (under their parents supervision). If you would like to help organize this year's Election Day bake sale or organize additional bake sale days, please email: pta@75morton.org to help!
