Dear 75 Morton Parents, 


Congratulations to all of the 8th Graders who took the SHSAT exam last week! We are so proud of them!


Here's what you need to know this week:


- Tuesday, November 14: Building Response Team Town Hall 9:30 - 10:30am


- Wednesday, November 15: PTA Meeting 8:15am In-person & Zoom. See below for details. 


- Thursday, November 16: Turkey Trot for students enrolled in Cross Country (parents encouraged to run with their kids; runners should gather at 3:45PM)


- ALL WEEK: Winter afterschool registration is OPEN! Students must be registered by 12pm on the day they wish to begin afterschool/tryouts. The winter session starts November 27.


Here's how you can help!


- Contribute towards SCHOOL SUPPLIES. We plan to spend $75 per student on school supplies this year. 


- Donate to the PTA Family Giving Drive. Asking for $35/month per student. Anything you can give will be used and greatly appreciated!


- Help us throw parties! If you can help us plan a family social event in December, please email pta@75morton.org

PTA Meeting - November 15, 8:15am

Meeting location: 4th Floor Library

Drop your student off for breakfast in the cafeteria and join us for this month’s PTA meeting. You will hear updates from the PTA, Principal Cofie and Parent Coordinator, Hope. Free coffee will be available. We hope to see you there!

Students should use their homeroom teacher's last name when asked during registration. 

Purchases made through the paper order forms must have checks made out to: MS 297 Parent Teacher Association.

The Winter Season is Here!


Congratulations to all of our fall sports teams on an outstanding season!


Winter registration is now open. The link is below in the Manhattan Youth Section. Tryouts are scheduled as follows:

  • Nov 13: Boys Basketball Tryouts
  • Nov 14: Girls Basketball Tryouts
  • Nov 15: Boys Basketball Callbacks (if necessary)
  • Nov 16: Girls Basketball Callbacks (if necessary)
  • Nov 27: Table Tennis Tryouts
  • Nov 28: Cheerleading Tryouts

Winter trimester of afterschool is almost here!Using this link, you can learn about the new schedule, upcoming tryouts, important dates and class descriptions for our various activities! Registration is now open. The winter session begins Nov 27.


These are FREE educational support and enrichment services! Students can register for a first session, or a first and second session!


The schedule is as follows:

3:00pm - 3:20pm - Snack & Check-In (Check-In Location)

3:20pm - 4:30pm - First Session

4:30pm - 4:35pm - Dismissal for students only enrolled in one session

4:35pm - 5:45pm - Second Session

5:45pm - 6:00pm - Final Dismissal


The sports programs include basketball, cheerleading, table tennis, and fencing! All students are encouraged to sign up and try out - previous experience is not required!


Other exciting programs include baking, crochet, latin dance, audio production, sculpture, lego robotics, creative writing, homework help, dungeons and dragons and MORE!
