Dear 75 Morton Families,


We have a lot going on this month and we hope to see you! 

Tuesday, March 5th - Coffee with Principal Cofie

Try Outs for Spring Sports with Manhattan Youth is this week!

Friday, March 8th is a half day (12pm dismissal) for teacher professional development

Parent Teacher Conferences is March 14th. By now you should have received an email with instructions on how to sign up. It is also a half day (12pm dismissal). 

Friday, March 15th is Morton Family Day. From 4-7pm students, siblings are invited to attend with a parent/guardian in attendance. There will be food and activities for all ages. Be on the look out for an invitation to RSVP!

Career Day is Friday, March 22nd. We are still looking for more speakers! See below to learn more how you can help!

SPRING AFTERSCHOOL
Starts March 11; Registration opens tonight

Registration for our Spring trimester opens TONIGHT at 7pm! If you haven’t done so already, take a look at our schedule (including sports tryouts, notes, and activity descriptions)  linked here.


Spring Sports that require try outs include: 

Softball & Baseball - Mar 5th, 3-5:45pm

Track: Relay - Mar 5th, 3-4:30pm

Girls Volleyball - Mar 6th, 3-5:45pm

Boys Volleyball - Mar 7th, 3-5:45pm

MORTON FAMILY DAY
NEW EVENT - Morton Family Day

Friday, March 15 // 4-7PM


Join us for an afternoon of carnival-like activities and crafts with teachers and parent volunteers. Students and siblings are invited to attend with a parent/guardian in attendance. If you would like to lead an activity or have ideas for this event please email pta@75morton.org

7th Annual Career Day at 75 Morton

We are still seeking speakers for our 7th Annual Career Day at 75 Morton! We are looking for representatives from a huge variety of career possibilities. The time commitment would be from 8:45am to noon. We ask that our speakers prepare a 15 minute presentation for the students. Speakers will present 3-6 times to different classes.

Annual Auction Party

Friday, April 12

Our annual event where we come together for an adult-only night of drinks, food and dancing to raise money for our school and celebrate our community. 

In order to raise money for this event we need donated items for us to auction! Please help by asking your favorite restaurant, salon, store or gym if they can support our school by providing a tax-deductible donation of goods or services. The more items donated, the more money we can raise.

PTA AND SLT NOMINATIONS
Join the PTA Executive Board or School Leadership Team

We are seeking parents/guardians to serve on next year's PTA Executive Board and School Leadership Team. 

PTA Executive Board 

Open Positions:

Co-President to serve with current Co-President, Lili Feliciano (specifically a current 6th grade parent/guardian)

2nd Vice-President - (1 or a co-pair of 2)

Co-Treasurer to serve with current Co-Treasurer, Karla Carballo (specifically a current 6th grade parent/guardian)

Co-Secretary to serve with current secretary, Amy Scott (specifically a current 6th grade parent/guardian)

Member at Large - 4 Open positions 

The board meets once a month and is also expected to attend the PTA general membership meetings. This team works in collaboration with Principal Cofie and Parent Coordinator, Hope, in addressing current school needs and issues. The other duties of the board are facilitating school events and to raise funds in order to pay for such events and school support.


School Leadership Team

One open position

The School Leadership Team meets once a month and works closely with the Principal, PTA Co-President and teachers.
