Dear Families,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I promise there will be no reference to New Year's resolutions in this letter. At 75 Morton, we do not make resolutions. Our daily work is one of reflection, redoing, responding and renewal. Therefore, we look ahead to finishing off this third year with energy, joy, flexibility, and growth.
January 9th is the 75th day of school. We are making it an official, annual celebration, 75 Morton Day. We are asking everyone to wear 75 Morton colors and swag. (The school store will be open at lunchtime on Jan. 7 and Jan. 8.)
In recognition of how far we have come, and how far we have to go, we are also asking all of you to make a tax-deductible contribution in the form of “75â€! Naturally, we are drawn to all things “75â€. We hope you are too and that 75 Morton Day will inspire you to give to our Direct Appeal by clicking HERE.
We are asking for “75†in any way you choose:
$7.50
$75.00
$750.00
$7,500.00!?
What counts is participation! Imagine if half of you gave $7.50 and half of you gave $75 - we would have $33,000 to continue to build our classroom libraries, and add to our science lab supplies, art supplies, musical instruments, and classroom supplies. Your donations give us the opportunity to make sure that all the children can go on field trips, that professional development can continue, and that enrichment programs will remain a part of our curriculum.
Please help support our still young (only 2.4 years old!) school and help it to grow into the school we dream of for 75 Morton. Click HERE to make a donation today.
With Respect,
Jacqui
P.S. On 75 Morton Day students will be voting on the movie they want to watch on Movie Night (Jan. 23). The nominees (slightly different from what was originally announced in the PTA newsletter) are....
Beetlejuice
Playing with Fire
The Sandlot
